“Beyond the Pain, I Want to Say…” — EB Patient Talent Showcase Held in Tainan; TWi Biotechnology Reaffirms its Commitment to Rare Disease Communities

The “Beyond the Pain, I Want to Say…” presentation event, organized by the Taiwan Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) Patient Association, was held on October 24 at the Tainan FE21 Mega Far Eastern Department Store (Chenggong Branch). EB patients took the stage to share their talents along with their personal journeys of courage in coping with the disease, creating a warm and moving atmosphere.

TWi Biotechnology, a long-term supporter of rare disease communities, also took part in the event, demonstrating the Company’s continued commitment to patients with rare conditions. Chairperson Dr. I-Chun Wu noted that TWi’s investigational new drug AC-203 for the treatment of Epidermolysis Bullosa is currently in a global Phase II/III clinical trial. She expressed hope that this therapy will bring new treatment possibilities to patients in need.

The event gathered leaders from the medical community, academia, and patient advocacy groups, creating a meaningful platform that highlighted the resilience and strength of individuals living with rare diseases, and helping society gain a deeper understanding of their challenges and courage.
